I played on a set today at Sam Ash with the EMAD system and the kick just RUMBLED! It really did sound great, lots of punch and low end but with plenty of volume also. I'm really thinking about using this so I'd like to know what you guys think of it.

Members Living Dead Drummer
I use the EMAD and I LOVE IT, I have an EQ3 on the front, and some normal muffling inside the drum to get rid of the rumbble and creat more power, but the EMAD gives me more volume and a much bigger sound. Members joestanman
or you could get a strip of foam weather stripping with the adhesive back, and make your own "EMAD"
Members jaged05
But that requires work!! Seriously though, the EMAD is sweet. Jay

Members tfriggenv
I have the EMAD on my Ludwig Rocker practice set and I love it. I wish they made it for my 26" Ludwig BD
Members bryanzera
I JUST put the emad onto my 22' this weekend and the sound is amazing. I tend to go for a more punchy, higher pitched sound, though. I bet if I tuned them down, they would still sound great.
Members jokerjkny
bry, can you be a little more specific? you say you like a higher tuned sound, but want to tune the EMAD lower? that doesnt quite make sense to me. i'm only trying to clarify cause my bud's thinking about putting a 22" on his Yamaha. Members bryanzera
Yes. I have a 22, but I like a nice, higher pitched sound with a quick roll off, so I tune my bass drum up very high. The Emad delivers the sound I require. While putting the head on, I had it tuned a bit lower, and it still sounded great to me. I think the Emad is a nice, all-around head.
