you know the sticker that comes with evans bass skins (and probably others)

well its worn thru to the skin, should i take it off ?(im worried it will shorten the life of the skin which i cannot afford)

buy a new sticker? ( but ive decided i dont want to muffle the bass drum )

is the skin at risk without any sticker? (seeing as i went thru the sticker and the felt on the beater very quickly?)

thanks

Yes the skin is at risk, I use a strip of electrical tape that is 2" wide I cut it down to size, it works great and it is cheap and it also pulls off of the head easy to put on a new strip.

Is your head at risk in a microwave...okay, I'll admit. I'm not really sure if it is or not...Does anyone know? Head in the microwave, yay or nay?
