Members Kiss A Pistol
I am updating the artwork before the album's release and I am not exactly sure how this works. The album was recorded in 2004. It is going to be printed & released now. Would the copyright/published stuff look like this... (p) 2006 © 2004 If not, how? thanks. As far as the copyright office is concerned, a work is already published the minute it is put into tangible form and made available for consumption. Publishing, as related to the music biz, is another term of a mediator who shops your music. It may be your own company, which would be you, or it might be an established company. What I would do is, on the liner notes of the CD, say "all songs written by______, c. 2004. Cover art by ______, copyright 2006. All rights reserved."
