Members The Professiona
Any such thing? I need to get some resonants for my fusion kit and was hoping to save money with a prepack.
Members gcdrummer
Hard to say. Depends on what you like. Just look at the pre packs at Musicians Friend or something and see if they offer what you like.
Members The Professiona
Thanks, I found a set of evans black resonants for sale on ebay (3 toms) for $23, so I just went with that.
Members AtillaTheHungry
It's funny how not one company actually sells a full pack of resonant heads as far as I know. I bought some Attack heads for that, and the five heads were $20. The snare side head I had to buy separately was $12. The drum head business is like organized crime to me. Members Zeromus-X
You can't just use the same heads? Sorry if that sounds dumb, but I've never changed 'em before. I assumed that I'd buy a pack of 2-ply for the beater and 1-ply for the reso.

Errr... you probably ought to change those heads... even though you don't beat on them, they do get stretched, and lose tone quality. Plus, I record with my kit often, so having a good tone is pretty important, but if it doesn't matter to you, then there's certainly no need to waste money on it. Members rca
reso's vibrate every time you strike the drum. They wear out. They also harden over time even if you don't play them. Changing them every six to twelve months is a good idea. Of course replacing the batters is more important if you can't afford both.
