Members john clarity
i played a gig at home and broke a crap beginner's kit snare stand i'd borrowed by putting a "real" snare on it... so i'm going to take advantage of this misfortune by ordering some nice brushes/rods while i'm getting a nice cheap replacement stand. what are your recommendations?i'd want them for jazz playing, i've only ever used the ones i could get in the local music shop, so i'd be looking for a nice pair that would inspire to practice brushes more! Members Mariollo
I have tried a lot of kinds and brands but the ones who I really liked are the Heritage Brushes(Vic Firth). They' re my favorite but I guess it's a matter of what you feel comfortable with. The only thing is you make sure to buy a telescoping model...otherwise after a while you' ll see your brush bristles all over your snare:(

Members Living Dead Drummer
Go with Anything Regal Tip man, they have the best brushes in the world. and have some new Rod models too. They have this one with blue dip like Zildjian sticks on it that rocks... Took me 2 months to brake and I was slamin' on it!
