Members therhodeo
The drummer of my band is looking for a new drum set and he wants to spend around a thousand. He doesnt need any hardware but would like a snare. He would like a 4 piece or 5 with 2 floor toms and a virgin bass. This is all for playing live. So far I've come up with. Gretsch Catalina Club RockGretsch Catalina MapleGretsch Renown Maple(a little pricier)Mapex Pro M RockStarclassic Power(alot pricier) What do you guys think of these and are there any others to look at? Members Puck
If you are looking for something in the rock config( virgin bass, 1 rack and 2 floors)You have two options from what you listed. The mapex and the gretsch. both are great but the mapex is built nicer. I have a mapex Saturn in the rock config. Excellent drums. Pro M's are very nice too. Starclassics are great drums too. way out of the price range you listed though. Gretsch renown maples are great sounding drums. I don't know if you could find the config you want, but very nice sounding drums. Premier also makes a rock kit.
