Members protilius
I've been looking for jobs online and what not in a attempt to break into the video game biz... I keep running across "knowledge in C+ engineering" as a requirement. What the heck is that about? Some kind of audio interface or programming used to incorperate audio into games? There are plenty of freeware or open-source audio programs out there, also. Just ask the recording forum.

Cubase for instance, runs about $400-500, but has a lite version for $99. Cakewalk Sonar producer edtion, runs about $500, but the regular edition runs about $250, and the home edition is $99. as far as sending the companies a message by downloading the software for free, the message it's really sending is "spend more time on copy protection, and hardware keys. (sure there will always be cracks for this stuff, but lets face it, if somebody is going to spend countless hours finding ways to break the softwares protection, are they really above providing you with a crack for cubase that also highjacks your computer?)
