Members qwertyMan
Hey everyone, me and my band are thinking of all pooling in to buy a set of bongos (for everyone). We're not proffessional (10'th grade band), and we play funk/reggae/jazz/a little rock. We want something on the less expensive side. The thing is, none of us knows much about bongos, and we don't know what's good for the price and what is way overpriced. Does anyone know of any good bongos in the range of 50-150 dollars? If so, that would be very much appreciated!
Members slap happy drums
Check out the matador line , not crap , but not too pricey , go used if you can , and though I love goat skin check out the remo fiberskin heads , mine have lasted like 10 years on my bongos

Although those look like a good deal i would just spend an extra 20 bucks or so and get some LP aspire bongos. I have tried many items on the aspire line and have never had any problems with them. If you really want to spend some money i would really look at some of remos stuff. thjey seem to be of decent quality and the ones that i have played have done pretty well.
