Members JayhawkDrummer
Has anyone seen a setup like this. The Toms size mix? Comments anyone? I like his playing but not seen a set up like this....I don't get out much....
Members boomboomdrums
I've seen this man play this setup. Awesome. Also check out Kenny Aranoff's setup. He plays a 5 piece but has the bigger tom to his left. Drums is totally a "roll your own" instrument.
Members zildjian@consol
I saw Billy at a clinic, he said that from time to time he rearanges his smaller toms just to get better and for different fill sounds ,then played about 45 mins and stunned the crowd. Members fusionfunk
Boomer has been my favorite drummer for more years than I care to admit. He is truly the greatest, to me. If you notice, his two primary toms, (the ones directly in front of his snare), are in DEsending order, like normal. It's the outer toms on each side of the kit, that is out or order. That allows him to play "traditional" fills, or mix it up, without too much problem. Very clever actually.
