Members Darten
I use a 9799... I like it, it is good on space, but damn heavy to move. I put my ride on one side and a crash on the other.
Members the DW
I use a tom holder/cymbal stand (not sure of the number, but it is a 9000 series), and last week, the wingnut that secures the upper part of the stand stripped out at a gig. Good thing it has a memory lock with a "key". It was a bit wobbly, but it didn't rotate while I was playing.
Members Kirk Markarian
I used to use 9000 series hardware - it was really heavy. I looked at the way I play my drums and cymbals, and realized that I'd be better off with some single-braced stuff. I bought some Yamaha single-braced hardware, and it's great. Strong and light, and doesn't bounce around. I'm happy.
Members ThePloughman
I use the 9000 series cymbal stands, boom stands, tom cymbal stands, and double cymbal stands. 1. They are very heavy. 2. Those plastic handles arent worth crap. But then, Ive only broken 3 in ten years. Its mostly just annoying. 3. If you can get past that, they are great.
