Members Kaux
Hi guys... I am just a keyboardist with some experience with cajon and congas. Now i want i hand drum, mainly or fun, but to record to if I can get any good. I want something capapble of a variety of tones, loud, and if it is small the better, but it could be big. I am thinking about a doumbek, darbuka or djembe...so i have some questions... First of all, what is the difference between a darbuka and a doumbek? What size do you recomend for a balance of not week bass tones and bright enough highs? ANy other thing i should know? brands ? materials? Thanks. Members JohnCav
If I remember correctly Slap Happy Drums(I think thats it) is a hand-drum maker, although im not sure which kind. He'd be the man to ask on these forums.
Members slap happy drums
yes , buy an Ashiko from me , or don't.....either way , click my links if you'd like to see what I (my wife and I) make. As for what style of drum is best , it all comes down to what you're doing with it , and if it'll be mic'd.
