Members richiejazz
Im on a mission to get ear monitors for the tour im drumming on (V drums at the mo!!) and was looking at Ultimate Ears range. If you can afford it, is it worth forking iut for the UE-11 pros?? Are they basically the best you can get? It seems the main touring mons for pro artists is the 5, but not the 11 is here is it worth getting them? Need to find somewhere in UK to get ear moulds too!!! They are reasonably priced and stay in my ears regardless of how wild I might be playing. Remember, you don't "feel" the kick drum with earbuds, so a butt kicker is a must, I use the Buttkicker Concert series.

Members Living Dead Drummer
Go for it!I tour with the UE Superfi 5 Pros, and I LOVE THEM!!! I will NEVER use a stage monitor again, it's my Ultimate Ears or nothing.
Members captainobvious
I was going to, but their custom IEM's are a bit pricey. Check out http://www.livewiresforyou.com/
Members Carpathian
Get the Shure SCL5s or the UE Triple.fi 10 Pro, both are in the same price range. I went with the triple.fi. Then go to you local hearing specialist that offers custom molding for hearing aids. Tell them you want a custom molding to fit on the end of your IEM. Voila!! Way cheaper.....The comply foam tips will suffice for a while until you can get the custom tip.
Members richiejazz
OK, but if you're going to get the triple fi 10's why not just get the quad 11 pros??

Check out http://www.livewiresforyou.com/ Are those any good? They are the same price I paid for my UE's. You wold just have to add $50 to get your molds done right?
