Members akaiser77
IIRC, Bob had been shown the secrets of the Zildjian cymbal making process. But Armand became president (in about '78 or so) and Bob became irritated at being the #2 man. So he sued after a couple of years of nasty infighting, and in '81 he was given the Canadian factory and signed a contract that he couldn't start producing and distributing Sabian cymbals around the world until '83, and not in the US until '85. From what I understand, the two branches of the family have not spoken since the early '80s.

Members LowPhreak
Love a good bounce cymbal.... Yes, and the best kind are those that bounce the highest off the floor when the stand tips over. This gave rise to the various Zildjian models names such as the "Wobbly Stand Bounce", "Drunken Bounce", and "Keith Moon Bounce" cymbals.
