Members Scifi Metalhead
How is it for cheap stuff? Just need a starter double kick pedal and there's one on the local craigslist for cheap.
Members agogobill
I have no experience with Verve ... pretty much due to the fact that I learned that cheap sh!t is cheap sh!t a long time ago. On a piece of hardware that is essential to playing a drumkit, you don't want to scrimp and take the chance of it breaking down at the wrong time. Members D Carroll
It'll be cheap imo, you'd do better to go with lower priced name brand stuff. I'd look for some used gibralter prowlers, or tama iron cobra jrs.

Members Scifi Metalhead
Pretty far. I'm in north central MO. There's a Gibralter at the local Music Go Round that I might check out. This is for beginner stuff.
Members SYMBOLIC
I would guess that a Verve pedal is going to have problems in a short amount of time. A buddy of mine got a SP double pedal and it broke very quickly, rocker assembly broke because is was make out of plastic. I don't know how SP compares to Verve, but I would guess that they would be on about the same level. The Gibralter should be fine, as long as it's not that catapult contraption that they came out with a couple of years ago. That thing was so clunky, it was laughable. Members Scifi Metalhead
Based on the advertised price I'm betting it's a Prowler, but I'm a total noob at drum stuff.
Members D Carroll
prowlers, by definition, work. nothing fancy, no ultra-adjustment, but they work.
