HI,

My first "release" is out for Mastering right now.

When I get it back, would it be better if I just bought

say a $400 c.d. "burner" and made the first 100 copies

myself? or is it always better to have say 200 run off at

at duplicating house and just worry about printing up one's own cover on the computer one-self? (This is a solo album of just me, and its for children). So its doubtful it will sell many copies

unless I go to Craft Fairs and sit and play along with it all

day long.

In the scenario you describe, burning your own CDs may be beneficial, though these days you can get 500 CDs, the booklet and tray card printing, the jewel case and shrinkwrap for about 6-700 bucks. If you do burn your own, at least go to a professional printer to have the printing done- I see CDs in record stores produced by local bands with the printing done on home computers and they look cheesy compared to the professionally done products they're sitting next to.
