Members grace_slick
Is this science experiment time for singing, man!? What's with the questions like this!? lol Anyway, soda would make your throat irritated and possibly induce burping. Neither of which SHOULD help vocally in my opinion
Members OldMattB
When I am ragged, I will sip Sprite to keep my throat salved. But the burps are a problem. The soda does help, but it is a 3-4 times a year thing. I suppose it works like honey and tea would - a little sugar to keep a coating on the throat. oldMattB
Members grace_slick
I think water is the best thing. Or tea with honey and lemon or something. Soda is full of sugar (or artificial sweeteners), and thus is an irritant to the throat. (honey is good for the throat and is also sweet, but does not contain actual sugar) Burping, unless it's part of your song, is no good either.
