Galaxy PA6S Personal PA

Thought other singers maybe interested in this product I heard about recently.

 

Galaxy has a new small stand-mount monitor called the PA6S. It should be out by the end of the month. It is not unlike the Mackie SRM-150 but has a few extra features. Like the inputs have through puts that act like a splitter -so you can mix and EQ on the speaker and it does not affect the outputs you send to the FOH mixer. Nice. It also has a pre-EQ preamp out that you could use to send signal to a headphone amp like a Rolls PM55 and use your in-ears to monitor and use the speaker as a PA or monitor on both if you're a single in-ear person.

Need to hear one but I may be selling my Mackie SRM-150.

I used to use TC Helicon's version of this--the VoiceSolo monitor. It worked well, but I couldn't get past the look of these things. I just think that hunk of speaker looks like a growth on the mic stand.

 

Others may well feel differently. I'm not knocking the way they work.
