Members your-icon
I want software that will turn my PC or lap top into a BASIC 8 track recorder. Is this possible? Thanks!
Members Thunderbroom
It depends...do you want to record your tracks one at a time or at the same time. If the answer is the former, then yes you can do it for cheap. If it is the latter, it's gonna set you back some cash.

Members Thunderbroom
For software, many folks recommend the free program: Audacity I've never used it, so I can't really comment on it. If you need a hardware solution and have firewire, I don't think you can go wrong with this: Presonus Firepod I'm looking into getting the Firepod at some point.
