Colgate Country Showdown I just found out about it a day or so ago. The deadline for submissions is June 3. The band has to submit a 3:00 minute song and a band photo by the deadline. Since we don't have any originals written yet, we're likely going to try to record one of the uptempo covers that we're pretty tight on. More points are awarded for originals, but considering this is a last minute thing, we'll consider ourselves lucky if we make the first cut and get to perform in Twin Lakes, WI. Hmm...now that's an idea! I just watched the local news. They did a story on US99 (the Chicago country station). Apparently they're the largest country station in the nation! I had no idea.
