The T-40 had lines, but that's not the reason I sold it. It was just too danged heavy for gigging. I also figure if I'm going to play a fretless, then I should really have one without lines. Seeing folks play a fretless has a certain "wow" factor from an audience's perspective.

I played the switch in fretted version.

Excellent bass for the price. It's been around for a while I don't know how they're not more popular.

The body is molded in a single piece of some composite stuff. Sounds deep and warm, should be fine for a fretless.
