Members Thunderbroom
I'm being premature here a bit, but who cares. I've always used Chromes for my flats, but my venture off in another direction soon. There's a reasonable chance that I'll be getting a new 4 string fretless. I'd like to set it up BEAD using those strings from a 5 string set. I recently did this with my P bass but had to ream the hole on my bridge and remove the string wrap to make it fit. What I'm wanting to know is, is there a 5 string set with a smaller "B" string that would work. The Chromes that I've been using had a .132" B string. I need something smaller. Decent strings and even smoother than chromes. They almost looked and felt chrome plated when new. Still had to file the nut a bit, tho'. The .125 B did pass right thru my BAII bridge w/o modification.
