Members skier4467
I already have a Peavey PR12 PA speaker cab. Currently I just run a powered mixer into it. I'm not thrilled by the bass sound. Would it be better if I buy a bass head? Will it sound similar to a bass rig? Which head should I buy (under $350)? Hartke, Behringer??? Members burdizzos
Be careful. The crossover in that speaker isn't the best. If you start slapping and whatnot, you could blow out the horn.

Members renniw
I've been using a JBL SF-25 (2 time 15" and a tweeter) rated 500 watts with my SVT4PRO in bridge mono mode (around 1200 watts) with no problems at all. Been doing that for 3 years and the cab never complained...
Members snoopysballs
I had very sexy results from plugging my old Firebass into a pair of Yamaha 18" PA subs... Not exactly practical in a band situation, but it gave my (and everyone else in the building's) bowels a nice shaking. You'd be surprised how clear a good 18" can be all by its lonesome.
