Members Ironhandjohn Posted December 17, 2006 Members Share Posted December 17, 2006 Back in the mid 80's my brother James had a bass guitar that was clear, like the Ampeg lucite guitars. It was a long-scale bass, with a body shaped sort of like a P-bass. He got rid of it when he moved to Florida after high school, and neither of us can remember who made the guitar. Talking to him last night he swears it was made by Steinberger, but I've been unable to find a pic nor any other info on a clear bass on Google. I found a pic of Mick Taylor holding an Ampeg bass that was clear, but it doesn't look quite like my brothers'. Any ideas what he had? The bass had a very sharp percussive sound, not the low growl of my old Ibanez Challenger I had around the same time. A neat guitar... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
