Members clemonsjw
I run a signal from my SansAmp to the PA and use a 1x12 Crate for "more of me." I have no complaints about this set up except that the Crate looks amaturist. Also, while the Crate is very solid and always works, I've given it a lot of abuse over the years and it's showing its age. I also play a 5 string and would like to have a better low end on stage than the crate can put out.It doesn't have to be loud, but I'd like it to have a good low end down to low B and be small and easy to move (I have an all tube Peavy AlphaBass and a homemade 2x8+15 cab, but I mostly gig with the Crate because it's more practical and easier to move). I've also considered getting some sort of wedge and driving from a small head or power amp. I've hooked up one of my heads to a Peavy 115 monitor wedge and it did reasonably well.Any thoughts? Members Jazz Ad
Judgin from the LandMark 60 (which is the same with a built-in SansAmp), low B sounds fine and well defined but you can't expect a lot of power, the built-in limiter kicks in pretty quickly. Enough for a monitor though.
