Preferably (tight wounded/smooth warmsounding) Nickel with soft to medium tension. What's important to look for, when it comes to: Taper wound/ordinary wound Light/medium/heavy gauges Light/medium/thigt tension ? Does "string through body" increase balance/focus/tone ? I don't know. Try em' out. Personally I would go with the second set mentioned, but I like bigger strings. The beauty part is if you don't like em' you can always switch. Does, for ex. tapered strings allways intonate better? Is a tapered B str. allways more focused than an nontapered B str. of the same brand and gauge? and finaly...
