The singer in my previous band used the Art tube pre for his mic with the EQ built in. That sounded good also, but I never tried my bass with the Art pre amp. Members PrestiaRules Posted February 24, 2007 Members Share Posted February 24, 2007 Phantom power means that the item (in this case the pedal) can be powered from the source it is being lined into it. For example if you are running it into a powered mixer it can receive power though the line it sent to the mixer thus saving your battery or adapter from having to power it. pedals like the SANSAMP or similar often have it..also some recorders I have come across can be powered from the board.
