Members BEAD
If you buy the record the CD comes in the sleeve for free! Hmmm... The CD is $16, or the CD and the record for $16. Tough call. Those guys are nuts. Pretty good album. The A side is pretty good, and the B side is pretty weird and has more of the Terraform era minimalist vibe. For anybody stumbling into this thread purely by accident, Shellac is a band made up of guys who already have good day jobs in music who rarely tour or release albums. They once waited a year to release an album in order to get the rights cleared for the cover art.

Yeah, they're audiophiles... the name is probably a nod to old shellac records of yore. another fun shellac story: they recorded a full album but decided that they really didn't care for it all that much. They made a limited number of copies for all their friends, and the cover of the album is a list of everyone who got the record. They circled the name of the person they gave each record to so that if one was ever sold they could find out who the guilty party was.
