My main bass has emg J style electronics with this mystery pot wired in. from what i can tell it mainly boosts output but also some bottom end. it was put together on a custom body from this alaskan chris kilgore (anyone have info on this guy cause this bass is nice and id like to contact him?) and rewired by one of the techs from Voodoo amps here in ithaca. anyway the pot has its own circuit board, and im wondering if its one of the add ons that emg makes, particularly the pot that adds lows and highs and cuts mids--would this pot increase the output?? really i just want to figure out why it was significantly more output than the emg PJ set i just installed on my other bass. id like to have the output of both basses be roughly the same so that the PJ can be a real backup without the concern of changing the DI level during a show. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
