Members dogman Posted August 12, 2007 Members Share Posted August 12, 2007 WHile I cant confirm that ALL late 70s fender basses use the same exact tuners, I can say that I own 2 1978 Jazz basses which have identical tuners and my buddy's 77 P bass has the same as well. Mustang tuners are like the smaller Schallers. Regular tuners won't fit. On Musicmasters one tuner is also smaller than the others but I can't remember which.
