Members REMUS
Do they differ in value apart from condition? For instance, some SVT's are worth more than others because their aesthetics signify their age.
Members misterhinkydink
Like SVTs, the earlier ones typically get more $$$. That said, the later ones are essentially the same and a way to save some $$$. It's a different story for V-4s, though.
Members mike fitzwell
Check the unofficial Ampeg page for info on dating them on appearance. I don't think there's a huge value difference between the years as I think the internals pretty much stayed the same. Obviously the cleanest examples that have been recently serviced usually go for the most.
Members REMUS
Do the earlier ones look different or sound different? When was the v4b released, i'm guessing early 70s?
Members misterhinkydink
Do the earlier ones look different or sound different? They changed from the three toggle switch panel to the two rocker switch panel in 1975. They don't sound any different to my ears. The circuitry is the same. When was the v4b released, i'm guessing early 70s? 1971
