Members walkerci
Glad you like it. My Warwick Rockbass V just hasn't cut it since I've started playing Reverends and G&L L2500. The neck and playability was very good. The tone just doesn't do it for me. Too metallic and mid-rangy.In all fairness, it could be the strings though. Maybe I'll restring it with set of rounds I took off of Reverend #2.
Members GRANKOR
I think the strat style jacks ruin the look of those
Members rummy
Warwick has been driving me nuts lately. At one guitar center, I tried out a vette, and it sounded amazing. It sounded right between the Jazz and a Stingray, and it played very nicely. I love the big neck, how it fit me, and how it played. For about $700 used, I thought it'd make my next bass. Today, I went and tried another vette at another GC. For some reasons, the magic wasn't there. I played a P, a J, and a Vette again. I really tried to look for that vibe I was getting initially, and it wasn't just giving it to me compared to the J or the P. (FYI, the initial vette I played was all passive, and the one I tried was passive/active with a pull knob.) I think those Vettes are one of the coolest looking basses, but the sound wasn't there no matter how hard I tried.
