So I signed up for a potluck for a main dish, but I am fresh out of ideas. Somebody is already bringing ribs, chicken, and pasta for the main dishes. I am a pretty decent cook, so it don't have to be something simple, and I don't want to go an buy something premade because I love to cook.

I am trying to make something in a crock pot so it can stay warm throughout the day.

Thanks

One of the best potluck meals that I can think of:

It cooks for about 2hrs at 200 degrees so it never gets all that warm, it can sit for quite a while if you need it to. You can also cook it on the same platter that you're going to be serving it. Set it out, put the relish on the side in a small bowl with a spoon and you're good to go. I've made it for groups several times and it's always gotten amazing reviews.

Crock pot of cheese scalloped potatoes is my go-to dish for pot luck meals. Toss some ham in there as well for a "main" dish meal.
