Members REMUS Posted October 23, 2007 Members Posted October 23, 2007 Ok so I ordered it because I think it looks cool Just as a stop gap until I decide on the components for my next rig, but lyric poet says they suck? What is the conscientious on their starter combos, because I can still cancel the sucker...
Members guitargod0dmw Posted October 23, 2007 Members Posted October 23, 2007 but lyric poet says they suck? I've got no experience, but...what else is new? He says everything sucks...
Members ModmanQ6 Posted October 23, 2007 Members Posted October 23, 2007 I love mine. Remember it is a small wattage lightweight practice amp, but it's great for small gigs... only 24lbs grab-n-go...
Members willbill0587 Posted October 23, 2007 Members Posted October 23, 2007 I've had mine for almost 3 years now and it still sounds as good as it did when it was new. The tolex is very thin on it tho', it scrapes easily so if you're bothered about appearence, be gentle with it. They do sound really really good tho'. I have leant mine to a fellow bassist who is a Primus freak and just lays down Claypool licks all day and the amp copes fine with it and he says its amazing. I agree. I am probably gonna use it in the studio next time I'm in there. oh, don't expect hi-fi tone, this thing is old school! I also practice with it, 4 poece rock band with a hard hitting drummer, just leave the eq flat, maybe a little mid boost, gain on half, volume on half and I can be heard really well. Great amp and they're half as much now as what I paid for mine:mad:
Moderators Kindness Posted October 24, 2007 Moderators Posted October 24, 2007 Not just a drummer, a hard hitting one. That's simply shocking.
