Members pbass_groovin
I'd rather have a 4 string tuned BEAD than a 5. I'm surprise more manufactures haven't tried it.

Members One Bad Monkey
I'd rather have a 4 string tuned BEAD than a 5. I'm surprise more manufactures haven't tried it. Why sell a version of a bass for $4-500 with a different set of strings? Most folks don't switch anything out except strings when they go from EADG to BEAD, so there's really no market for a bass already set up. If anything, with more people playing a four-string tuned BEAD, you'd think the string manufacturers would start selling BEAD sets (maybe they already do, I'm not certain) to capitalize on it.
