Members bassdudeguy
Also, make sure your SansAmp is one of the newer ones (the last two or three years?) that is capable of driving a power amp to full power. Otherwise (say it a long with me kids) "you're going to need a preamp with that." how can i tell if mine is a newer model?
Moderators Kindness Posted November 28, 2007 Moderators Share Posted November 28, 2007 If it looks like the picture on the current website, you have the new one. If it doesn't have all the switches on the top panel, you have the old one.

Members NeonVomit
I used to have a SansAmp BDDI until it got stolen/lost and I haven't bothered getting anything to replace it. My Aphex PunchFactory has a DI out if i ever need anything like that. Thoughts?
Members PrestiaRules
I like the Sans Amp for changing rigs and venues. If I show up at a gig and can't get a sound I like quickly going straight into the house amp, I just run my sansamp into the power amp in input (or effects return) on the house amp and run a line to the PA. Not tone heaven but quickly lets me get a useable tone at any gig Sometimes we might play two one hour sets at two different bars on a given night. If time is limited it saves me a pile of headaches
