Members bikehorn
Here's what I have gathered about this thing: - Early models had a problem with input sensitivity being too high for active basses. Some people said that this problem continued after product line revisions, but seeing as how I use passive electronics and at most would use a buffered output or 3 dB overall level boost if I had a preamp in my bass, I don't think clipping the input will be a problem. They include an input and output level control anyway. - There's a VU meter. I don't care if it's accurate, if the needle swings around and looks cool, that's enough. - compression range is split into two with different pre-set threshold and release settings. Not adjustable like most compressors. How do these things perform? Are they optoelectronic comps or otherwise? I also need a compressor for guitar since my pedalboard is dual purpose, thus I'd be using this one for guitar. Should I just get a Dyna Comp type of compressor instead? I found a guy selling one of these for $50 locally.
