A single output for the pickups instead of two separates. Possibly different pickups as well...but I don;t know unless I see the specs. No scallops like you mentioned, and no different sized frets either. The ATT-LTD II has smaller fret wire for the upper frets. Is there no way to play one before you buy? The neck is very P bass like...just in case you had no idea. Mine is also smooth as butter...and very fast. Beefy, but fast neck, and a huge, agressive tone if you want it to be. Build quality is pristine on the LTD-II at least, and I would expect it to be good on the special as well.
