Members Goofball Jones
Is there anywhere that has the standard prices...the ballpark street price of the Markbass line....that is without having to resort to calling GC? I just don't deal well with people over the phone and I always get attitude when dealing with my local GC. Most of the time they're ok, but many times it's like "pfft, you're not buying anything today? Why are you wasting my time then?" Ok, maybe not that bad...but I can hear them calling me a dick under their breath. Anywho...was looking for the ballpark price of a Little Mark II and the Standard 104HF cab. Members guitargod0dmw
The LMII is $599. I'm not sure what the cab is...
Members Goofball Jones
Oh that's right about Markbass isn't it. There's no haggling over the price. It is what it is. Would be interesting to see what the cabs go for though. I like the Avatar 410's...but if I were to ever want a 115, Avatar doesn't make one. At least one that I've found. Members rpsands
I don't think they budge on the marked prices much (at least that's my recollection). Mesa/Boogieish. As a side note: I sat for a few minutes again with a Markbass combo (2x10). I do not think I would consider buying markbass speakers. My next trip I intend to try something MB with a different company's cab, but that 2x10 sounded like ducks farting. My standards might be too high but their speakers are expensive enough I expect them to sound good flat with a pbass without much screwing around. When you go to buy I highly recommend A/Bing whatever MB cab you're looking at with some other reputable cabs.
Members rpsands
If you want a 15, get a Dr. Bass.
Members Goofball Jones
I know, but I want everything to match! I don't want some hotties coming up and saying "pfft...his stuff doesn't even match...not even using Lava cables...what a noob. Let's go sleep with the drummer...." Ok, I'm not that superficial. Members guitargod0dmw
I was not a fan of Markbass cabs in the least. You might like them, but they just didn't have the ommfff for me... Their 6X10 wasn't too bad though...that's the only one that I have played through that I liked.
Members PaulyWally
I don't want some hotties coming up and saying "pfft...his stuff doesn't even match... That'd be OK in my book. If they did come up to check out my rig, I would just turn the volume up loud enough to blow their clothes off.
Members rpsands
If they see your Dr. Bass cab their clothes will already be off.
Members sodacose
I know the little 12 combo is between 850-1000 because I'm in the process of saving up for one. I agree with the previous poster that the 2x10's didn't sound that great to me (I tried the combo).
