Members Mytola
what do you use for the C string? As for strings, you mean? I just use a Thomastik SuperAlloy 6-string set, and throw away the B.

Members Mytola
You should. It is a completely different world for me than my fours. Much more fun, and a Hipshot xtender (to drop the E down to D and up again) is arriving anyday now.
Members poomwah
I thought I absolutely HAD to have a 5 string. Back when I had my 4 string stingray, I couldnt afford another sting ray, so I got the olp 5 string, was a really nice bass, really nice sound. I just never felt right with the "extra" string
Members Broncomino
it took me about a week to get used to the 5er. Now, after playing it exclusively for almost a year, my 4 string feels really awkward in my hands. I'm thinking selling it and getting a fretless 5. thats what I did.
