Members seraphim7s
4 string, maple f/b, single pickup version with bass-mid-treble tone control. Thoughts? Very well built, and the bass sounded excellent. I can see why people swear by them. The position of the pup seems to really affect the growl, and the thing sounds ballsy and phat - can get pretty aggressive if you're picking hard. The neck was a little fatter than I'm used to (been playing a jazz lately) and if I got one, the pickguard would come straight off, but I am definitely intrigued! But yeh, all round, a great bass. I can see what all the fuss is about. ps. the mid control seemed almost useless. Didn't really affect the tone at all!
Members Crescent Seven
They're kick ass basses. I prefer to play the standard Stingray with a pick, because I don't like where my fingers land if I rest them on the pickup. The HS and HH models don't have this issue, however.C7
