Members Darth Balls
Doesn't sound like your typical farty mess of a bass distortion. Sounds like a low tuned tight guitar. Sounds like it might be good for math metal, but I'm not going for that, I'm doing other types of metal. I hate the metal zone pedal for the guitar, but I want to try it on a bass. Anyone do this or anything at at to achieve Bolt Thrower tone? Different pedal? Humbucker vs single coil? Active or passive? The natural sustain of the bass should negate any need for sustain from the pedal, just need it really crunchy. Don't think Motorhead (great band, but not the bass tone I'm looking for), *especially* not Type O Negative fuzz (another great band but with {censored}TY bass fuzz on World Coming Down), think Cliff Burton Anesthesia but instead for a guy who uses a pick and palm mutes. And of course, Bolt Thrower, but with palm mutes. I bet I'll get zero replies, but tada.
Members Guttermouth
sounds to me like you ought to be looking at higher gain distortion pedals instead of fuzzes. i would go directly towards an old turbo rat or marshall guvnor.
