Members xbassman
I know a few guys on here use Webstrings. I have used them, but not with the low B. I need to order a few 5 string sets since my band is playing a bunch of tunes that need low B. (I already have 2 extra 4 banger sets ) Can anybody here tell me if the stainless steel Webstrings low B is tight? Or the nickle version for that matter. I normally prefer steel though. I am thinkin' webstrings for the $$. If money wasn't an issue I would probably pick up a few sets of the Roto BEAD strings cause I really like the Roto bite. Members Apendecto
Sorry, I can't help. I bought a 5'er set for one of my basses in BEAD. Good luck. Yo.

Members mike fitzwell
IMO the nickel is very good in both tone and feel in both the light and medium gauges.
Members xbassman
I think I'll probably order both nickel and steel. Heck their cheap enough anyway and I am one of those guys that HATES dead strings.

Heck their cheap enough anyway and I am one of those guys that HATES dead strings. You and me both! I like the sound of the steels--a nice zingy snarl without being overly clicky clacky. They have seemed a bit sticky to me at times but not too bad overall.
