Members psychoangus
Hey there, I'm getting married on Aug 1st (hooray! Aaaaghhh!) and myself and some friends are doing some songs on the day. I want to do something similar to Red House, but obviously with some 'happier' lyrics. My fiancee doesn't have a sister, but not really appropriate lyrics for someone celebrating a future of monogamy. Does anyone have any suggestions of a similar blues song but with more agreeable lyrics? Same chord changes are preferable (early shift to the 4th chord in the 2nd bar etc.) and same tempo. I've gone through my Clapton/Moore back catalog of Red House rip-offs but can't find squat. Cheers! Dave
Members quicksilvergirl
Jimi's Little Wing is gorgeous. Beautiful lyrics and gorgeous guitar work. Steamroller Blues by James Taylor is a little sexy, very hot when done well.
Members cherri
Susan Tedeschi did a nice cover of the Stones "You Got the Silver" with hubby Derek Trucks on slide ... pretty tasty.
