The rest of the bass is in fine shape. But I'm not replacing it because there's a bit of work involved. Instead I just use a small piece of foam I cut out to wedge under the strings at the bridge ... I use it on the Ric and the Hofner when I need a mute or round sound. If you get a Bassmute bridge, or an addition to the existing one, find out if the mutes might need replacing in the future. that's my 2 cents Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
