+1 to everything said here.

 

They've a more woody/ upright tone than a 4003. Super rare. Dual truss rods, so they're as stable as a 4003. They have two neck pickups which contributes to their sound (instead of having the classic Ric bridge pup.)

 

I've owned one (1965), but sold it to a good home. It wasn't as aggressive enough for my style at the time, but today it would be a nice addition.

Ric has a long production backlog. While they're reintroducing the 60's features into current instruments - you won't see any 4005's for the forseeable future.

 

Or, as John Hall said, "They're butt ugly guitars." Paraphrasing, except for the butt ugly part.

 

Hell, I'd bet you'd see the 4002 before the 4005.
