Members mr sprocket
I have a Dean Pace which has a piezo bridge similar to this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250346543085 I was thinking of adding a preamp. I like the type that are used in the ABG. Maybe something similar to this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=320305837857 Can I connect the bridge directly to the preamp? Will it still need to be grounded?
Members Hamer-Bass-Head
I'm assuming there's no existing preamp....leave it wired as-is and add a hi-impedance preamp designed for a piezo on the floor.
Members mr sprocket
no the bridge is wired to a volume pot then the jack. I am running into some odd ground/noise issues that my ABG does not have. That got me to thinking or wiring the Pace like my Washburn.
