Members SlaveNewWorld0
Greetings, I suppose my question is, just how crap is the crappiest piece of crap in the bass market? Is it a waste of my money buying a bass for under
Members Apendecto
I've never played that brand but this scares me away: This Bass is ideal for Lead guitar players who wish to learn the bass or for youngsters wishing to learn. Scary. Can you get a Rondo bass out your way? Or check out some pawn shops/craigslist/etc. Yo.
Members Phantasm
Always remember that you get what you pay for. That said, there are some Ibanez basses for about $199 that I like (P+J pickups) and a Yamaha that's very similar that I usually suggest in these situations. Members Rocko
i bought my squire pbass for $89 used at GC and it was better than most basses in the 200-$300 range so i would just search for something used..

Members jonjohn
This bass looks like {censored} . But you don't need it to look good , it would probably be a well made Matsumoku basshttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WestoneThunder-Jet-bass-guitar_W0QQitemZ180335502707QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV?hash=item180335502707&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318 . Members ok4450
You might consider one of these. http://www.sunlitedrum.com/guitars/productpages/GEB-100Page.htm I bought one of these off of eBay about 3 years ago on a whim to use as a Frankenstein project. It was purchased for about 60 bucks including shipping and though allegedly a used one it came to me in "as new" condition. It looked, played, and sounded so good it was about 2.5 years before I even modded it at all. The only thing I did to it after purchasing it was add new strings and did a slight bridge adjustment. It's been rock solid reliable all of this time and as the seller I bought it from stated in his auction; it does not look, feel, or play cheap. Just a suggestion for consideration anyway.

Members Reverend179
You'd be better off saving your money. Short scale basses sound good for certain applications but for the most part they're flabby and dull.

Members frunobulax
SX basses get a lotta love around here. and for what you want, that would probably be fine. you should consider getting something with a P style pickup. A P bass records beautifully with very little effort. plug it in and you'll get a good bass tone on the recordings.
Members Decker
If you got a 5 string, you could join an outlaw country band.
