Members Mr.Mow
So I pulled my Ashdown ABM500 head apart last night (can't help it.. like to see whats inside!), has about the biggest bloody power transformer thing I've ever seen.. damn.. It also has a '12AX7B' pre tube.. its a cheap arse made in China jobbie.. I've never seen one with a 'B' designation, can I replace it with any other 12AX7? Moderators Kindness Posted March 25, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 25, 2009 I don't go through enough to have well founded opinions. My favorites are the ones that have been working in my amps for years at a time. I never like putting in a new tube with the failure rates being as high as they are these days.
