Members Derek5272 Posted April 2, 2009 Members Share Posted April 2, 2009 So, I bought a new TV tuner (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1600) the other day that has a hardware MPEG encoder so I can pause live TV. Unfortunately, with the proprietary software (WinTV), there's a 5 second delay at the beginning and end of recording (including paused recording) during which I have neither audio nor video. I tried some 3rd party software (SageTV) that has no delays, but the full version is $80. Anybody else use a TV tuner and have a recommendation for a good program?
