Members Super_Donut_Man
Got a letter in the mail, an didn't think anything of it, and found it again. ___________________ Why do we believe you need ot file a Reassessment Application? ... Your Property may have an overassessed value of $106,845 () and a REQUEST FOR PROPERTY TAX REASSESSMENT available to you as (yes it is missing the "a") result of Proposition 8 (Gay Marriage in CA) has not been filed. Due to this estimat;d (yes they used a semicolon) decline in market value, Property tax Reassessment shows an estimated property tax savings of $1335.56. (figures they provided in the comparison section were not even close to my house value) To complete your property tax reassessment, detach and mail the coupon on the reverse side with your service fee.... $179 or $209 after the dead line. Members Super_Donut_Man
I've never really come across any scam in the mail before. It looks legit, but once you actually think about it, it kinda falls apart, plus the gramatical and spelling errors don't make it seem good. Plus they ask for money right up front.
